Familia de Intel Core i7 incluye 53 CPUs, que tienen de 4 a 8 nucleos y operan a frecuencias de hasta 4.2 GHz. Todos los microprocesadores admiten la funcion Turbo. Esa tecnologia puede temporalmente overclock id de uno o mas nucleos, y aumentar la frecuencia tan alta como 4,5 GHz para ciertas partes. Todos los procesadores Core i7 utilizan arquitectura de cache de tres niveles e integran hasta 20 MB de cache de nivel 3. Los microprocesadores tienen una potencia de diseño termico que oscila entre 35 watts y 140 watts.
